YOUR EVERYDAY YOGI
I often follow up: "I'm a yoga teacher", with: "But the most normal kind".
You won't find me practicing hours a day (I wish I had time to). I can't do a handstand. I refuse to pay more than $20 for yoga pants. I have a full time job, I drink wine more than green juice, and I'm almost never serious.
That said, I am a marketer at heart (and by day), but yoga led me to find one of my greatest passions, which is teaching. I live in Cleveland, OH for now, but I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA. I was a competitive swimmer for 12 years, and went to Youngstown State University on a swimming scholarship. As an athlete, I wish I found yoga YEARS before I did.
When I did find yoga, it was when "adulthood" hit. I was stressed out, working too much and anxiety entered my life. I tried several classes, and it wasn't until I entered a yin class, that everything started to change.
The universe showed me the way, and not long after, I started my 200 HR Teacher Training. After graduating, I explored teaching a wide range of classes, but nothing called me quite like slower flows and yin yoga.
I have taught internationally and have gone through several certifications and workshops to improve my knowledge and continue to be the best teacher I can be.
Some Highlights of my Training Include:
- 60 Hour Certification in Shiatsu & Traditional Chinese Medicine
- Reiki Level 1 Attuned
- Weekend Intensive with Yin Yoga Founder, Paulie Zink
- Breath Centered Teacher Intensive with Max Strom
- International teaching in Costa Rica at KRAMA Yoga and Arenas del Mar Boutique Hotel
